🥄 2 tablespoons avocado oil (or another high smoke point oil)
🥄 4 slices Cheddar cheese
🥄 4 burger buns
🥄 Toppings: lettuce, pickles, tomato slices
🥄 1/4 cup light mayonnaise
🥄 2 tablespoons dill pickle relish
🥄 2 tablespoons ketchup
🥄 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
🥄 1/2 teaspoon paprika
🥄 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
🥄 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
👨🍳 Mix ground chicken with salt, paprika, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper in a large bowl.
👨🍳 Shape the mixture into 4 equal patties, about ½ inch thick.
👨🍳 Heat oil in a large skillet or grill to medium-high heat.
👨🍳 Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side, until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
👨🍳 Add cheese during last minute of cooking and let it melt.
👨🍳 Toast buns lightly if desired.
👨🍳 Spread mayo on bottom bun, add pickle relish and ketchup.
👨🍳 Top with lettuce, tomato slices, and burger patty.
👨🍳 Top with remaining bun and serve immediately.
Notes
For best results, use 92% lean ground chicken. Let patties rest 5 minutes before cooking to keep shape. Store uncooked patties in fridge up to a day or freeze for up to 3 months.
