Ingredients

🥄 1 lb lean ground beef
🥄 2 cups green cabbage, shredded
🥄 1 medium sweet onion, diced
🥄 1 medium carrot, diced
🥄 3 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

👨‍🍳 Heat olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

👨‍🍳 Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

👨‍🍳 Stir in onions, carrots, and garlic. Cook for another 2 minutes until fragrant.

👨‍🍳 Add cabbage and stir to combine.

👨‍🍳 Pour in beef broth and season with salt, pepper, and thyme.

👨‍🍳 Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and cover.

👨‍🍳 Cook for 15-20 minutes until cabbage is tender and sauce has thickened.

👨‍🍳 Serve hot with crusty bread or over mashed potatoes.

Notes

For best results, use low-sodium beef broth. This stew tastes even better the next day.
