Ingredients
🥄 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, diced
🥄 1/3 cup soy sauce
🥄 1/4 cup honey
🥄 3 cloves garlic, minced
🥄 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
🥄 1 tablespoon cornstarch
🥄 2 tablespoons cold water
🥄 2 green onions, sliced
🥄 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, for garnish
🥄 Red pepper flakes, optional
🥄 1 cup broccoli florets, optional
🥄 1 bell pepper, sliced, optional
🥄 1–2 teaspoons brown sugar, optional
Instructions
👨🍳 Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add diced chicken and cook until golden on all sides, about 5 minutes.
👨🍳 Stir in soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and rice vinegar. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
👨🍳 Mix cornstarch with cold water to create a slurry. Pour into the pan and stir until sauce thickens, about 2 minutes.
👨🍳 Add broccoli and bell peppers if using, and cook until just tender, about 3 minutes.
👨🍳 Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving. Serve over rice or noodles.
👨🍳 Optional: Add 1–2 teaspoons brown sugar to the sauce for a deeper, richer flavor.
Notes
Use chicken thighs for extra tenderness or chicken breast for leaner meat. Add extra vegetables like carrots or snap peas for more nutrition.
