Ingredients
✓ 1 cup frozen strawberries
✓ ¾ cup unsweetened almond milk
✓ 5 ice cubes
✓ 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (optional)
✓ 1 tablespoon cocoa powder (for rim dip, optional)
Instructions
✓ Start with 1 cup frozen strawberries that are frozen solid to keep the shake cold and thick without needing extra ice
✓ Add ¾ cup unsweetened almond milk for a creamy base that doesn’t overpower the fruit
✓ Toss in 5 ice cubes to give it that extra chill and density
✓ Mix everything together until smooth
✓ If the shake is too thick, add a splash of almond milk
✓ If it’s too thin, blend in more frozen strawberries
✓ The goal is a smooth, drinkable consistency with just a hint of texture from the fruit
✓ For a more indulgent treat, dip the rim of the glass in cocoa powder or crushed nuts before serving
✓ Garnish with fresh strawberry slices or a drizzle of chocolate syrup if desired
Notes
Frozen strawberries offer the best balance of sweetness and tartness and eliminate the need for extra ice. If you don’t have frozen strawberries, use fresh ones but add a few tablespoons of ice to maintain the right consistency. This shake is best made fresh but ingredients can be prepped ahead. Store in the fridge for up to 24 hours and shake well before drinking.
